		<description>Definitely match with the counter and backsplash. You could choose a lighter or darker shade for the backsplash instead, and have all your countertop areas (including your island&#039;s) in the one colour.

Also, consider that once everything is done up and you have equipments (toaster, coffee-maker, etc) on your countertops, you&#039;ll have much less visible space and you won&#039;t feel its overkill at all.</description>
